PA-9016-B3
AWS Specification: AWS A5.5 E9016-B3
JIS Specification: DT2416
Other Specification: DIN ECrMo2B26
I. APPLICATIONS:
Welding of 2.25% Cr-1% Mo steel used for super-heater tubes and steam pipes of boilers for electric power plant and marine use, equipments for oil refining industries and high temperature synthetic chemical industries.
II. DESCRIPTIONS:
PA-9016-B3 is a low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding which provides the weld metal 2.25% Cr-1% Mo.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Dry the electrodes at 325-375ºC for about one hour before use.
-
Preheat at 150-300ºC and postheat at 670-730ºC.
-
Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate prepared for this particular purpose to prevent blowholes at the arc starting.
-
Keep the arc as short as possible.
