PA-7016-WCr
AWS Specification: NONE
JIS Specification: Z3214 DA5016W
Other Specification: NONE
I. APPLICATIONS:
Welding of 50 kgf/mm2 high tensile strength atmospheric corrosion resisting steels and superior atmospheric corrosion resisting steels for bridges, structures, and rolling stock.
II. DESCRIPTIONS:
PA-7016-WCr is a low hydrogen type electrode. Deposited metal contains copper, chromium and nickel and shows high resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Excellent crack resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Excellent crack resistance and mechanical properties due to its low hydrogen type coating make it suitable for welding medium and thick plates.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Dry the electrodes at 300-350°C for 30-60 minutes before use.
-
Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate prepared for this purpose to prevent blowholes at the arc starting.
-
As excessive heat-input deteriorates impact values, weld with proper heat-input selected according to the impact values required.
