PA-1100
AWS specification: AWS A5.1 E6011
JIS Specification : Z3211 D4311
Other Specification: NONE
I. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
Welding of pipes and general structures
II. DESCRIPTIONS:
PA-1100 is a cellulosic type electrode for mild steel designed for AC power use. The strong arc force and reapid solidifications of metal facilitate welding in the vertical and overhead positions. The arc can be directed easily in any position with light slag formation and minimum spatter loss.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Pay attention not to exceed the range of the recommended welding currents because the proper currents for cellulose type electrodes are lower in comparison with those for ordinary type electrodes.
-
Dry the electrodes at 70-100 degrees C for 30-60 minutes before use. Excessive moisture absorption lowers usability and may result in some porosities.
-
Excessive drying before use causes less in penetration and overheating of the electrode
