TUNGAHARD 950
AWS Specification :NONE
JIS Specification: DFWA-700S
Other Specification: NONE
I. APPLICATIONS:
Hard surfacing of shovel teeth, cutter knives of dredger and speed mullers, etc.
II. DESCRIPTION:
TUNGAHARD 950 obtain a weld metal which contains large quantity of dispersed tungsten carbide and withstands heavy soil impact-free abrasion. Machining as-welded condition is impossible.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Usually over 200ºC preheating and 500~600ºC postheating are required.
-
Take care of the increase of cracking tendency when used for over triplelayer welding.
-
Underlaying with low hydrogen type electrodes (PA-52 or PA-18) is required.
-
Dry the electrodes at 150~200ºC for 30~60 minutes before use.
