PA-10018-M
AWS Speicification : A5.5 E10018-M
JIS Specification : NONE
Other Specification: DIN 8529 EY 7976 Mn2Ni1.5CrMoBH5
I. APPLICATIONS:
Welding of 70kgf/mm2 class high tensile strength steel for pressure vessels, penstocks, bridges, offshore constructions and industrial machinery.
II. DESCRIPTIONS:
PA-10018-M is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding. Its ustability and X-ray soundness are very good. It provides weld metal of good metal notch toughness and of high crack resistability.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Dry the electrodes at 300-350ºC for one hour before use.
-
Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate prepared for this particular purpose because arc striking on the base metal is in danger of initiating cracking.
-
Keep the arc as short as possible.
-
Preheat at 100-150°C before use.
-
Pay attention not to exceed proper heat-input because excessive heat-input causes deterioration of impact values and yield strength of weld metal.
