PHILSTAIN 430 Nb
AWS Specification: AWS A5.4 E430Nb-16
JIS Specification: JIS D430Nb-16
Other Specification: NONE
I. APPLICATION:
PHILSTAIN 430 Nb is for welding of AISI 430 and AISI403, AISI4095, stainless clad steel
II. DESCRIPTION:
PHILSTAIN 430 Nb is a lime type electrode which may form the deposited metal of 18% Cr stainless steel. Sa the weld metal contains Nb, it becomes ferrite structure with fine crystalline. It shows good corrosion resistibility and acid resistibility. Its weld metal provides excellent crack resistibility, elongation and toughness properties.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Keep the arc length as short as possible
-
Weaving width should be within two and a half times electrode diameter
-
The welding current should be used as low as possible.
-
Dry electrode at 200-250 °C for 30-60 minutes before use.
-
Preheat at 100-200 degrees C and better results can be obtained by post heat at 700-800 °C.
