PHILHARD D236
AWS SPECIFICATION: NONE
JIS SpECIFICATION: NONE
Other Specification: NONE
I. APPLICATIONS:
For repair, joining and hardfacing of deep drawing tools, wood working tools, punching and cutting like drawing tools for hydraulic press, punching press and power press. After welding hardness is 350 HB. After oil quenching at 950ºC or hot quenching at 500-550ºC it can obtain a hardness of 60-63 HRC. After annealing at 200ºC can get hardness of 59-61 HRC. After soft-annealing 850ºC it gains hardness of about 250HB
II. DESCRIPTION:
PHIILHARD D236 can be used for the manufacture of new parts as well as for the repair of 5% Cr and 12% Cr tools steels such as e.g. 1.2363, 1.2601, 1.2080, 1.2436, 1.2379.
Due to the alloy composition it is particularly suited for the repair of Cr cutting and punching tools, deep drawing tools and woodworking tools and highly wear resistant plastic moulds. By using a non-alloy or low-alloy base material, high quality tools can be manufactured with this electrode.
