I. APPLICATIONS:
Applications for hardsurfacing of crusher parts, refractory press screws, cement press screws, palmanut press screws, coconut press screws, etc…
II. DESCRIPTION:
A low hydrogen hardsurfacing electrode with deposition rate (190%). Suited for parts subjected to heavy abrasion and metal-to-metal wear with moderate impact. Easy to manipulate in horizontal-vertical positions. The weld deposit can retain its properties at temperature not exceeding 450ºC.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Preheat at 150ºC and over in general.
-
In case of multi-layer build-up welding and welding mother plates with hardening property, under-lay with low hydrogen type electrodes for mild steel.
-
Dry the electrodes at 300-350ºC for 30-60 minutes before use.
-
Clean weld area properly before welding. Keep a medium long arc. Oscillation of the electrode with an amplitude up to 3-4 times the nominal diameter results in very regular and smooth beads. The full properties of the alloy is obtainable in two layer deposits.
