PHILHARD 800
AWS Specification :NONE
JIS Specification: DF3C-700B
Other Specification: DIN E6-60
I. APPLICATIONS:
Hard surfacing of pump casings, cutter knives, etc.
II. DESCRIPTION:
The deposited metal of PHILHARD 800 is martensitic structure, which contains C, Cr and B as principal alloy elements. It has extremely high hardness caused by precipitation of chrome carbide and chrome boride. It is most suitable for overlaying of the parts subjected to heavy soil abrasion.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
1. Usually over 200ºC preheating and 500~600ºC postheating are required.
-
2. Take care of the increase of cracking tendency when used for over triplelayer welding.
-
3. Underlaying with low hydrogen type electrodes (PA-52 or PA -18) is required.
-
4. Dry the electrodes at 150~200ºC for 30~60 minutes before use.
