Nickelarc 276
AWS Specification :AWS A5.11 E NiCrMo-4
JIS Specification: NONE
Other Specification:NONE
I. APPLICATIONS:
This highly versatile corrosion-resistant electrode is most commonly used More common uses of Nickelarc 276 include the nuclear industry where it is used for pressure vessel superheaters, steam separators and tube plates. This electrode is commonly used in cryogenic installations; chemical and petrochemical applications; and for heat treatment and case hardening industrial furnace parts. More specific uses include joining Inconel® 625, 718, X-750 and 760 to 9% nickel steels; for welding Incoloy® 825 to carbon steel, stainless steel and low alloy steel; for joining Inconel® 625, Monel® K-500, Incoloy® 800 and 825 to Inconel® 706, 718 and X-750; and for joining Inconel® 825 and 800.I
II. DESCRIPTION:
Nickelarc 276 is a flux-coated electrode designed for welding low carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum Hastelloy® C and Hastelloy® C-276 to themselves or to stainless steel or nickel base alloys. This electrode offers excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing up to 1900ºF. PHILARC Nickelarc 276 used for welding the clad side of joints in steel clad with low carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
-
Its weldability is as same as austenitic stainless steels.
-
Keep the interlayer temperature under 100ºC and cool it as fast as possible.
-
Keep the welding current as low as possible.
-
Dry the electrodes at 150 ~ 200ºC for 30 ~ 60 minutes before use.
