Nickelarc 117
AWS Specification :AWS A5.11 E NiCrCoMo-1
JIS Specification: NONE
Other Specification:NONE
I. APPLICATIONS:
Nickelarc 117 is suitable for joining and surfacing high-temperature alloys. Special applications of the Nickelarc 117 are in oxydizing media at high temperatures, especially for the construction of gas turbines, combustion chambers and ethylene production plants.
II. DESCRIPTION:
Nickelarc 117 can be welded in all positions except vertical-down. Smooth, stable arc, very good slag removal. The seam is finely rippled and notch-free.
III. NOTES ON USAGE:
Hold electrode as vertically as possible, keep a short arc, only a very little weaving. Fill end crater carefully. Interpass temperature max. 150°C. Re-dry electrodes for 2-3hours/250-300°C.
