PHiLARC - The No. 1 Choice of Welders

PHILARC AL-BRONZE CuAl-D

AWS Specification : AWS A5.6 E CuAl-D

JIS Specification: NONE

Other Specification: NONE

I. APPLICATIONS:

Higher yield strength and hardness than PHILARC ECuAl-C.

    II. NOTES ON USAGE:

  • Keep the welding current as low as possible in the case of first-layer welding.

  • Preheating is not necessary in the case of lining of mild steels. The preheating temperatures varies in accordance with quality of base metal, a preheating temperature of 150 - 250ºC is required in general.

  • Preheat at 250ºC-300ºC is necessary in the case of welding brass.

  • The preheat temperatures varies in accordance with the preheat temperatures.

  • Keep the arc length as short as possible and don’t use too much weaving.

Typical data and Test results for mechanical properties, deposit or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards, and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.
